A Year Long Journey into Parenting and Love

A Collaborative Adventure based on Love and the work of Bryan Post,

Kristi Saul, David Durovy, parents, professionals, and The Post Institute

Status:

Currently in the compiling and editing stage. Looking to be published in 2020 or early 2021.

This book came to be while being a part of The Post Institute, a leading publisher of love based Family-Centered training material for parents and professionals with adopted, foster and diagnosed children in their care. Their radically new and uniquely different approach to parenting difficult children and managing disruptive behaviors empowers parents to create an optimal healing environment in the lives of children that come from hard places. How do they do it? With love. The kind of love that there is nothing a child can do to earn, and nothing a child can do to lose.

Having fostered twenty-seven foster children and adopting four from the Virginia foster care system, my wife and I quicly realized that there was no training that could possibly prepare us for what was in store caring for some of the most most vulnerable and challenging children coming from hard places.

Working with Bryan Post and Kristi Saul, we came to not only believe that unconditional love was possible, but that we could achieve things we never thought possible with traditional consequence based parenting. This book is the result our personal experience of over fifteen years of practice and helping other parents and professionals with foster, adopted and diagnosed children in their care

You can change the world. Yes, this may sound trite. Yes, this is true. Yes, you can change the world. Thank you for choosing to be a part of the collaborative adventure in parenting and in love. I am grateful for your participation, input, commenting, contributing, and helping to create something that can help change not only yourself and your family, but also the future.

This book is an invitation to love like no other. To explore the depth, the width, and the breadth of something we all believe in, yet somehow we too often stop short of an experience that leaves us breathlessly panting for more.

Our children deserve more. You deserve more. We all deserve more.

No, you are not the center of the universe. Yes, everything that you do matters. Let this be the banner that encircles our globe, everything that you do matters. Everything. This includes you, the person next to you, and the person across from you.

You may have missed some helpful information. After 3 years of working on this project, we are now ready to create a list of people who would like to receive 4 emails per month (1 x week) with a summary of articles, postings, videos, and resources with links that are put up each week on the website and blog. Share in the love.
