A CURATED PORTAL FOR HELPING PEOPLE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER, NO EXCEPTIONS.

The beginning of Love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them. —Thomas Merton

Why Love More?

More people are waking up to the power of love and care as the solution to our personal and societal challenges. Love is a transformational intelligence that raises our vibrations to draw in new solutions we haven’t thought of yet with multiple benefits. The need for love has been philosophized for eons—now is the time for us to bring it to the street, practice more love and kindness in our interactions, and reap the practical and proven benefits. Doc Childre, Founder of The HeartMath Institute

Most of us experience an object-oriented love, toward someone or something. The love I refer to is a love that comes from or through us, and is not object-directed, but reflects a sense of "being in love with the world, everyone and everything in it." So, love more is the invitation to stop limiting our love to those in our own family, tribe, those like us, those we know, and open ourselves to a love that knows no limits or bounds. Unknown to most of us, there are people who have been or are in love with the world and all those in it. For most of us, experiences of this unconditional love are fleeting and rare. For some, it is a lifestyle.

Although love has not been elevated to the status of "the hard problem" in science as "consciousness" has attained, yet the full story of love, and the part that the heart plays has yet to be unveiled in the greater scientific arena. Love seems to fall more into the domain of mystics, poets, writers, and theologians who describe it in many ways. After all is said and done, it appears all we are left with are metaphors of something so indescribably delicious that it baffles our imaginations even to begin to define it in a cosmic context.

We hope to bring a fresh look at the many dimensions of love and how it affects our bodies, minds, brains, chemistry, connections, relationships, and the world around us. In short, we hope to simplify love in an easily digestible format that will both inspire us and connect us to a larger world beyond that which we know or even imagine. We seek to explore ways to engage this ever-expanding presence of love that has the innate power to influence both the past and the future through a joyful experience of becoming more fully human, bringing meaning, purpose, and love into all areas of our life.

Most of us know what it feels like to be in love and be loved, and how it helps this world to be a better place. Love is a place of intimacy, of caring for knowing another deeply. Social researcher Brene Brown says, "it is hard to hate someone when you are up close to them. We are hardwired to be connected, so maybe we just need to be intimate with each other, get to know each other's stories. Learn how we share more in common with each other than we are different."

She adds, "We belong to each other and this can never be lost, but it can be forgotten."

Maybe all we need are reminders.

You may have missed some helpful information. After 3 years of working on this project, we are now ready to create a community of people who would like to receive 4 emails per month (1 x week) with a summary of articles, postings, videos, and resources with links that are put up each week on the website and blog.
